S1 E08 :: Laura's Story

Welcome back to Stories from South Place! Today I'm joined by Laura Hoffman!

Laura is my first guest who I've never actually met in person. Laura is an adoptive mom and we met in a Facebook group for parents who either were adopting or did adopt from Ethiopia. She and her husband, Tymm, live in Colorado with their children, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to chat with Laura and hear her incredibly heart-wrenching and also beautiful story. I kept thinking of the verse in Genesis when Joseph says, "You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result--the survival of many people." (Genesis 50:20 CSB)

Laura and Tymm are the founder of Brighton Their World and Brighton Academy in Ethiopia. Their ministry is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for you to hear more about it in this episode. I've linked to all of the ways that you can get involved at the bottom of the show notes, so be sure to check out their Facebook page and information if you'd like to become a sponsor or a prayer partner.

Last, this is the last episode of the first season of Stories from South Place! Beginning next week, Jason and I will be releasing a series called, Stories from Quarantine! We'll be interviewing people who are a part of different segments that are up a community and find out how they're effected by the COVID-19 quarantine that we're currently under. These mini-episodes will be shorter, about 15-20 minutes, and will be releasing twice per week! If you already subscribe to Stories from South Place, this series will come straight to wherever you listen to podcasts!
